On a sadder note

The suicide bombing in Afghanistan hit close to our hearts this past weekend. The unknown questions that weren't answered...who was injured, who died...until the names were announced. And then...to learn that Joe knew Glyn Berry, the civilian who was killed.
It is such a dangerous area of the world, but you have to give kudos to our brave military and civilian personnel who are trying to make a difference and are putting thier lives on the line.
I was so grateful that Joe is home, working in good ol' Canada. I worried so much while he was away, but could never show my true feelings. I had to be strong to stay strong.
Our sincerest condolences to all the injured and their families. Prayers go out to the Berry family and friends. There, but by the grace of God, go I.
I think I will hide that passport.

I'm not sure if people know that Dad has a new position in his company where he'll be working in Canada for the most part. No more trips to "yahooti land" as far as we know!

No more trips? I have to say, with the world in the state it is in, that is really good news. Joe has done his time and should be able to stay home for awhile.

It's nice that I don't have to cringe every time I hear about an incident over there, but I feel for the men injured, and lost.
I'm so glad Joe knew when to leave for good.
