Looking out my windows!

To see what I can see - lots of white stuff!

Did I scare everyone away? No comments on this glorious winter scene! It is November you know.

The first 2 are out the back door and the last is out the front towards the street. For those not in the loop, Alberta cities NEVER or ALMOST NEVER plow residential streets. The exceptions are along bus routes but they are the lowest priority. Joe likes to pretend he's a snowplow when he has his snowblower out and will blow from Linda & Des's house, past ours and over to the other side of Joanne's driveway. I do wonder about him sometimes!!!! But it sure makes parking along the front nicer!

How do you get out without plowed side streets? Maybe you're all smarter out west and buy winter tires? We actually purchased some last year for the first time!

I'm thankful we still have no snow and I believe we're already up to +15 C today and I hear going even a little higher than that on the weekend. I'm sorry, but forget what Henry said .. I'm just not ready for snowsuits just yet! But please make a snow angel for me.

Well Monica, you carefully plan your route, then hit the gas and hang on tight! And hope for the best! Rednecks do everything with gusto! We have been known to get stuck in front of our own houses! Not fun if there's no one around to help push!

Talk about getting stuck in Alberta! Steve was out in the ministry one day and with a few people. They were waiting for a few more (coffee time of course) and where were they? They were pushing their big car out of a snowbank. Funny thing is they were two tough ladies, both in their seventies! And that's how it's done out west. Paula

It is beautiful, but I prefer my day out today in my t-shirt kinda weather.
